I'm interested in putting a 10L1000 behind a Chevy LT gas motor. Aside from the Torque converter issue, I'm curious about the software side and compatibility.
It appears it's controlled by the same tcm as the 10l90 - a T87A. I'm curious if this would be compatible with a E92 gas ecm (I don't know what the Duramax uses). Right now I use a 8l90 for medium duty use. It's rated for 20k GCWR and I'm definitely pushing its limits.
I dont even need special programming (i.e. needing it unlocked like a T87).
I'm hoping someone who has messed with the diesel software (hp tuners?) Can give me insight on compatibility.
