So travis are you saying you like the 1055 better or the sled puller? i understand the cost in all but your saying the lock up is hit and miss???
I loved the 1055 converter. But I had reached a point in turbo size that I needed more stall that what I could get out of it. At the time the precision sledpuller was the only converter that would stall higher than the 1055 other than custom ATS units. I dont like ATS trans parts so I went with the Precision.
I like both of the converters. It all comes down to what size turbo you want to run.
The downside to really loose converters is that when stalling on the line the input and output speeds are so far apart that when you come out of the hole the turbine cant catch up with the impeller and the tcm wont request lock up.
You can use a lockup controller to fix this but the really loose converters tend to have a shorter lifespan in general.
