I'm running the 1054 in mine. Sun Coast recomended it. It works ok with a stock LBZ turbo but it is very tight. In first gear I can't stage the truck and rev past 1900 rpms without pushing through the brakes. The lock up on it is really nice and it tows great though.

Mike hooked my truck up with a Precision converter. I haven't driven any trucks with any different converters so I my experience is limited.

This thing is good though. My truck has 35" tires and it seems to get on the turbo nicely.

It was installed early in 2007, not sure if anything has changed with them since then?

Which PI converter are you guys talking about? I'm running 315's( 34-35 inches tall) and I have the PI ML converter and it works great. Lights the turbo great and still transfers the power to the ground without reving high in the rpm range. My experience with it for over the last year is it works great for everything. Drag racing it's seem really aggressive comming out of the hole for leaving between 1800-2000 rpms with only 8.5psi of boost. On the street I can still be rolling and as soon as it hits second mash it and the turbo instantly lights and will break the tires loose. You can mash it from idle and it rolls out about ten feet maybe then the turbo lights. Pulling my boat it takes off really nice and pulling heavy equipment it does great. Just my experience. Very good for all around use.

That's what sucks about doing beta testing. You'd be stunned if you saw all the various kinds of parts and tuners I've bought for cars and trucks, and they didn't work quite right.

You sell the parts, usually at a loss, or just hang onto them and throw them away when your shelf gets full.

Want to buy a useless SuperChips tuner for a 2000 Camaro that won't run over 5000 rpm? Make me an offer.

It's part of racing. If you want to go Bleeding Edge, you better have bandaids handy.

Have to agree with Pat, lots of stuff laying around, buy hi sell low that my motto. :D I'm installing a 1054 in the 06, gonna have bookoo power and it was recommended so I'm going with it, (especially since I already bought it). I run a Precision in my 07 DD, it seemed really tight at first, but is much looser now. Use to go through the brakes at 2200 rpm, it will hold at 2800 now. Not racing that truck anymore however.

Thats not too bad considering the life and the power that it was at IMHO.
I was thinking about having rob make me a hot race tune .

I brag about this tune so much I sound like a broken record. Daily drive, tow, race, same tune. Daily drive 17-18 stop and go, 22+ freeway, tow 13-14, drag race 12.6-7 105-7 never misses a beat.

I like my 1054 FWIW. It works way better for my truck than my ATS did. Drives good on the street, good towing 11k lbs, and way way way way better drag racing.

Twins, 33" tires, and Robs tunes. The 1054 took .2 + off my 1/4 et, but that's just my truck.

I have a ML/Precision in my 2002 CC/SB and a 1054 in my 2007/LBZ RC/LB.

I like them both very much, I have had customers drive my 2002 and they love the converter and I really can't say which one I like better.

In street trim the 2002 weighs about 7400 lbs, the 2007 about 6700 lbs both with me in them.
