100hp vs 40%nozzles

Went the cheap route and bought a set of barely used 40% over nozzles for my lly. Had a tune written then found out when they were being put in thy are junk. Ordered DDP 100hp nozzles because I can get them quicky and the truck is apart. Anybody know how close they are in size for tuning purposes?

Should be pretty close. They should be a little smaller than the 40 overs but there really isn't an industry standard where all percent overs are the same from one to the other.

Thanks. That's about what I was expecting/hoping to hear. Smaller shouldn't be a big problem. I'm looking to break 600hp on my max effort tune and I think these should get me there no problem on a stock cp3

They will get you there no problem. Assuming your cp3 is up for it.

We logged it and on the current hot tune with stock injectors it makes 24-28kpsi exactly as demanded and rail never seemed to drop. :thumb:

avnt 4094 va with a danville billet wheel. Measures out to 68mm. And I have replaced every part of the intake and exhaust except the intercooler and the manifolds, so it should flow plenty.

i'm curious as to what you dyno or run at the strip with that setup. When will you have it complete?

before the tune and the injectors it made 505rwhp and ran a 13.3. But that was with a tune for the stock turbo @32psi. With the new tune and tips I think I'll be in the 600 range. The 505 dyno run was 100% smoke free, same with the 13.3 at the track. More boost, more fuel , moar better

And it should be together by Friday night at this point. Fingers crossed as long as DDP had no problems honing the tips and UPS doesn't mess up the shipping.

Got the truck back last night. Tuning isn't perfect because it clean up very quickly even on the hottest tune. But it still F'in rips. Sending a log to Trent this week to get a bit more pulse width and shooting for 600

You sir are correct. It is a stock lly y bridge. Did you see the truck last night? Everyone thought it was a turd. Trent wrote the tunes backwards so stage 5 is stock altered. Stage 1 its headed in the right direction

Stage 1 ran hard. Still cleans right up so I think it needs more fuel. Justin and Chris only ran it on tun 3 and 5. Big tune was hiding at 1

Trent runs the big tune on the base tune (your lvl 1). This is typical for most other tuners as well. The reason behind it is because, the other tables for dsp 2-5 are limited so some limiter tables cant be adjusted for an all out race tune. By doing it opposite, you dont have to worry about hidden tables as they are all there in the base.

I have never run across a issue with the dsp 1-4 tables limiting. Whatever you don't see in the custom OS it pulls off the base. Socal and fish are the 2 top switch sellers. Guys switches and fishes switches scale the voltages differtly...if you don't like the way yours is, you can install the other companies switch or Trent can rewrite the tunes.
