Info provided by Don M:

Details to follow. Cells phones are ringing like crazy this morning.

It was on a DynoJet. It was a Duramax and it has Nathans ( IDAHOCTD ) twin turbos, Nathans dual CP3 pump set up and my injectors. Tuning was EFI live provided by a great tech.

That truck would be fun to drive.

Now that the engine is amazing, I hope for Keith's sake that something else big doesn't break under all that power.

I would estimate that Kyle Michael has been at these HP levels for at least 2 years. Kyle will never dyno his truck because he said "it isn't a sport".

Still it is a geat accomplishment all the same. Also, Tony is an amazing tuner.

i am guessing you are talking about climax, if so i was thinking he would of had to been pushing that kind of power if not more for some time now, i would like to see what kind of #'s nasty girl will put down at the track

1004/1958 those numbers are incredible, congrats to nasty girl

There is no way that anyone was making those #'s (in the duramax world) on #2 before duel CP3's were around! There was not enuff fuel to do it.

Kyle Michael invented the twin Cp3's!

I believe he had them on his truck in late 2004 to early 2005. I believe it is a derivative of his original design that became what ATS is now selling.

He also was the first person to put twin turbos on a Duramax, that definately happened back in 2003. His twins are crazy too, that's why the hood of climax is always open just a bit. I think the bottom charger is an A5K, the top charger is something insane.

Kyle has things done to his truck that no one knows about, and he had the Buttefly cut pistons long before anyone in the Duramax world was even talking about it. I am sure he has dual CP3's. And I stated last summer that he was probably over 900, and maybe 1,000 rwhp. People laughed at me.

Better watch what you post over on the diesel place. I got in trouble for posting this.

"WOW, The Cummins guys are crying foul all over the place. You have 2 more cylinder, you have more injectors, you have 2 bigger turbo, we never seen it, so it ain't true. OH PLEASE, cry me a freakin' river. WA, WA, WA!
I haven't seen this much crying, since Hector was a pup.
Get over it already!"

I was stunned!

While other trucks perhaps have made the power Keith's truck made, all have been 100% secret squirrel.

It pushed the injectors out of their holes! This is something that has happened before on LB7 as well as LLY/LBZ heads, and is something that needs addressing.

It certainly tells us that 1000hp is not the limit, and that the Dmax is a serious contender now with the max effort Cummins.

But before we try to win the HP wars, we really need to make a stock engine survive at higher HP levels than 600. Truth is, few folk are going to build a $20,000 engine on a truck they are still making payments on.

And oddly enough, HP is only one piece of the puzzle when racing, more power is not always better, you need the RIGHT engine for application, or there would be 200HP dirtbike engines. You add power when that is what is currently holding you back.

I would be willing to bet, that $20,000 won't buy you a reliable 1,000 rwhp Duramax engine.
My guess is, closer to $45,000. (The price of a new truck) And I would not be at all surprised if one will cost $60,000+
Now once all the details and machining is worked out, sure $20,000-$30,000 will more then likely do the trick. But with everyone still learning, it will be very pricey to say the least.
