Anybody looked into a 1 ton Rockwell for 2.6 truck?

Rockwell isnt a 1ton its a 2.5ton. Most rules wont allow it on a 2.6 pulling class.

Rockwell C-103 came in GM one ton bread trucks back in the day. Kind of a grey area.

What gears are offered vs what can be used in a 9.25 up front?

The 485ci gasser boys run em around here. Iirc they run a 5.29 in the c-103 and a 5.13 up front in their 60's

That's where I got the idea, the gas class runs them and all those older guys been pulling for years they would know what works and what doesn't. They said they came out of a bread truck but never said what kinda rear end it was. But c-103 sounds right!

For what its worth I ran a d-100 center section which was a 4.88 I found and originally thought it was a f106 dropout. I snapped the pinion off my first pass in 2.8 the first year I we went to open rears and duals. I would bet the c-103 wouldnt hold up very well.
