Leveling keys uncranked all the way is not even close to stock keys decranked. I had green keys backed off all the way and my truck was about the same height as my stock keys cranked all the way. Put my stockers back in.

So Albert, what can I do? I mean I want to race the truck, but obviously can't change out keys every time I want to race.

I run stock keys cranked unless Im racing... 305-55r-20 toyo ats on 10" wide BMFs. I have Cutout fender flares and when I pull the bolt the tires still rub like a mofo, makes for some pretty wide turns...

What size are your normal tires and what size are the Drag radials?

Don't feel too bad. I did the same setup but tried pulling. :roflmao: Grenaded a cv and later I found the other had cracked. Also bent both tie rods where the sleeves ended. I was able too drive it home tho! I like my trucks up higher so I am going with a 4" soon lowered down with stock keys. Then I gotta try pulls again.

1.6 60 is f*cking awesome though... My truck has only pulled one lowly 1.79 with the fat azz toyo's:rofl: Need better race tire and wheels and a track that isn't 6 hours away that gets friggin rained out ever damn time I show up.

Sad to say but that's the issue. Things have got to be down to keep it alive.

I have leveling keys and lower them till the keys are on the stops and never had a issue in at least 100 passes from 1.7-1.9 60s on street tires never bent anything broke anything other then the pitman arm brace re welded been good for another 20 passes so far. Why does everyone say leveled keys can't launch without breaking when lowered down? With them raised it'll **** shit up no doubt but not lowered. Maybe I'm just lucky

Do your snubbers touch when sitting on the keys?

I warned ya.

Bent stock center links are not uncommon from 4wd abuse.

Get a new center link, lower that thing all the way down and don't go out there boosting hell out of it the first go round lol. Ease into it and work your way up launching.

You need to go over the whole front end now looking for possible bent idler arm support, hurt ball joints, hurt idler/pitman arm, and making sure everything is still intact as it should be. Launching that hard and hopping that bad is killer on the front end

I have 285/70/R17 tires on stock GMT-900 17" GMC wheels...stock keys, not even turned up that much, and no rubbing at all.

Soft street tire 4wd launched are a lot easier on stuff than leaving hard on radials or cheaters. This post is a prime example. Lots of traction puts a lotorw stress on everything.

It's not about clearing the tires, I like my truck to sit level. With the factory keys maxed out my frontend was still 1.5 inches lower than the rear. ( take a tape measure and measure your fender height)

If you going to race like that and dont want to break things it is a must to get things in the right order. Looks or performance?you gotta make a choice.

They were lowered..... To a level I thought was fine. I will pull the bolts out all the way next time. Keys are there to stay.

The reality is, with street tires this probably would never have happened. Oh well excuse to buy more parts.
