Became a member when I rolled in the driveway tonight!
4 sets tires, 1 set shocks, 1 front hub, front steering and suspension redone once, brakes done once, 1 trans cooler return line, batteries once, 2 glow plugs. Obviously mucho maintenance done religiously.
Took a couple of pics just as I turned the miles up. Still lookin' pretty darn good after 8 N. Illinois salty winters. 120 miles of those roads every day since new.
Couldn't be more pleased with it.

Congratulations, yours is the only high mileage Duramax I would buy you being the only and original owner, IF I could pry it off your hands and just the truck I would be looking for as I do not see many shortbed extended cabs...:woott:

TX of course
Good looking truck.

You must take really good care of it. What really surprises me is how good your wheels look. Mine where starting to peel after 3 years and only making trips up north for vacation.

Only 2 glow plugs? I have done at least 6 of mine.

The #1 reason the truck and wheels look good after all those winters is it's parked in my farm shop every night and it's above freezing. I go through the super wash once a week to get the salt flushed. The PYOs get overspray of conventional armorall every so often and it gets wiped into the surface pores of the aluminum. I guess I lucked into a trick.
And yes, all original paint. The front got redone at around 100k thanks to a big buck though. Grill, bumper, valence and a couple of lights.
Thanks gents for all the complements. I appreciate it.

Anyone ay half a million miles? I just rolled 326K, other than the typical Smokey Joe '03 vinatge, running strong!
