Nice job

Congrat's on a awsome run! That is one very cool/nice truck, I love it. I have to ask way if you were changing trannies that you would not have went with a simple powerglide? They are cheaper and the gearing is WAY better for a diesel being raced.

The truck is still driven on the street......Its dual purpose. We drove the wheels off it yesterday before we went to the track.

Truck

Why could you not drive a powerglide on the street? Other than overdrive. Then you could run a gearvendor setup. It's all good. I told the owner at Indy I think it's one of the coolest trucks out there.

Thanks Guys.
I have to thank Danville Performance for all the tuning and the great turbos. I'm going out this Saturday to Byron's Diesel Days. If the track is hooking like last night I will put it on the big tune to see if I can break the 150mph.

I talked to the guys over at powerglide and they told me they did not think it would hold up to the weight of my truck. I also wanted a lock up converter and it was going to be way to much money to run a powerglide with a lock up converter. I have not had very good luck with the gearvendor. My dad had one in his race truck and it would take a long time before it would actually in gauge. I'm shifting the truck around 3600 rpm and getting into overdrive right at the 1/8 mile so I need that overdrive.
