Jklennon just went 9.96@134 on a stock 300k mile lbz motornin his crewcab lly!!
Thats right! We had a great night, lots of work into this one. If its ok we would like to keep the other spot we got with the lly last year(10.33 @ 130 6500lbs) since this a completely different setup with an lbz engine @ 5500lbs.

Does anyone remember who tuned Kelly's (Big Bird) truck #91 way back when??

Mark sure tunes a lot of 10 second trucks. So does Tony and Rob.

That cant be a stock longblock engine. If it is, that's truly amazing.
We found the engine in charlotte, it was a stock 300,000 mile work truck shortblock with heads. We didnt even even pull the heads off. Modded the reluctor wheel and bolted the lly accessories on. We used the lly injectors and valve covers and rockers. Installed a bigger turbo and threw it back in.

As crazy as it sounds it sure is sir! Someone made the mistake of telling him it couldn't be done so he said "hold my beer and watch this shit!" It's all the little details that he paid attention too that made it possible, many of which get overlooked by most. I'm more than guilty of this fact myself on my own shit because I'm more focused on my customer's stuff than my own. I'm just a small part of his whole project honestly(turbo and tuning) because the suspension/chassis are a bigger part of making this happen in my eyes. I will be the first to admit that I truly have a passion for making shit go really fast but try to do it as safely as possible(I can thank you for that I guess because of the public ass chewing I got from you back in the day when yours let go on you!) It definitely pointed me in a little different direction than most of the industry went because I do not like to see shit fail for no reason and I get looked at differently by the mainstream guys because of my methods but it's definitely hard to argue with my tactics at this point. I will be the first to tell you straight up that I don't guarantee a damn thing because shit fails regardless but there is a difference in being upfront about the facts. When someone understands that but still wants to party I'm all for it because it is fun to prove people wrong. I need to work on getting some sponsors lined up(I'm definitely not good at asking other for help on any level but I need too for this project!) so I can get my rail car going because at this point there is one record I don't have that I really want badly but don't have the personal money to make it happen. Sorry for the rambling guys, but I'm really excited about all this and got a new fire lit under my ass thanks to my great customers that aren't letting me walk away from this industry just yet.

Of all people, you're telling me this? ;) I can still remember the complete disbelief on your face when you dyno'd my truck. :roflmao: Setup is key, Ive always said that. Guys who truly think things thru first always do better than expected.

Jesse, it is amazing. Obviously is the fastest stock engine truck we've seen. Just keep doing what you're doing b/c its working. :thumb:

Cripes, Alex....if only you knew then what Jesse knows now, huh? :hehe:

Rail car? Any more details?

I have one in my possession but need to get everything to make it go fast. I have the fuel system and computer system taken care of on it. Turbo stuff I obviously have also. Just need to figure out exactly what direct I want to go with it and get some more help on it because it's not cheap to go really fast unfortunately. Gotta get my 9 sec pass in my truck then turn my attention to the rail. We expanded our machine/turbo shop again so that has also taken a lot of money and time lately which is more important to me at this moment.:thumb:
