I have been running a S475 for awhile now with a 1.10 housing. I am changing the WHOLE setup now. Im going from 4.56 gears back to 3.73's. And adding 60 over injectors with a built engine. The turbo was originally built for a 2.6 class for truck pulling. Now all I will do with the truck is run the 12.0 index class and drive the truck. The charger was laggy with the 1.10 housing and sucked for spooling without aid from watermeth or nitros. Im blaming that on the gears but didnt know how much difference it would be going to a .90 exhuast housing? On edit the turbo has been opened up from a 2.6 inducer to a 3.0

I changed from a .9 to a 1.10 and I won't go back...I have no issues with spooling.

Everyone has a different experience/opinion of what is acceptable spool. Terrain and driving conditions also have a lot to do with it. For instance I run the .9 on a 472 and wish the spool was much faster.

You will gain about 100 rpm quicker spool between each housing. Your turbine wheel plays a bigger roll than the housing. I run a 1.25ar housing with the same gears and have no complaints:thumb: I have also tested a couple fo them:D

well i figured the looser housing would let more exhaust drive the turbine, creating more boost presure....no?
