if i put twins on this thing and big tires is there a way to reprogram the traction control to allow some slip, is it fine if left alone or is it going to be a nightmare

if you only press the button momentarily, it only turns off the traction control (says 'traction control off" in the driver info center)...ie, straight line wheel spin control...like doing a straight line burnout. If you start to swerve/risk rolling over/do donuts it will still correct, thats the stability control (stabilitrak).

to turn off the stabilitrak completely so you can do burnouts and donuts/slide sideways and stuff, you have to press and hold the button for 5 seconds and it will say "stabilitrak off" in the driver info center.

make sense?

yes but what im saying is that i dont want to have to press the button sequence everytime i turn the truck on, is the stuff still gonna work with the tires and extra power or is it going to have a bunch of false alarms while normally driving and pull all my timing.

Ben is that the case on all gm cars.

On my wifes g8 I push the button once and it says stability off but it seems like it takes alot to make it power slide. I also think it might be all the torque management it needs some exhaust and a tune.

I am still trying to talk her into a cam:spit:

Why not just leave it on when you want to do a burnout? My truck has surprised me a time or two by breaking the tires loose when I wasn't expecting it.

im asking if it will still function properly with 37" tires and 600/1100 power. if it wont can it be adjusted with efi live or completely turned off without the need to hit the button twice and then the dash to get it off my dic?
