The sheet metal from 07-10 is pretty crappy, GM really cheaped out on that whole generation of truck. It could probably be welded and straightened but the odds of another failure are definitely there. Check car-part.com and see if you can snag another door the same color.

It is pretty common on the 07+ trucks. What happens is the roller on the door detent starts sticking and causes a lot of extra stress on the hinge, and the door is the part that takes the brunt of the force.

Yup, my driver started to, put some grease on it and hasn't made noise since.

Lot of older Toyota models do it, it was common practice for me back then in to automotive industry to hit em all as they come in.

So Its solid now but the hinge got pushed in to the door from being opened and closes so much while being torn.

I did pull it and push it back out to where it looked like it should be from the factory when I welded it. I lined everything up the best I can, the door gap is too tight to the front fender, so I'm going to have to make some spacers to space the door back towards the rear more. So just need to cut a few pieces of sheet metal, and drill some holes, line it all up to space it out.............. Door will have to come off again it seems, but once this is done, it should be good!

So after lining up the old metal and welding it, the door had no gap at the bottom of the door to the fender, and the upper had a small gap.

So I added 2 pieces of 18 gauge sheet metal for the upper hinge, and 3 pieces for the lower, and it looks perfect!!!! I'll have to post pictures of the door gap later, but I also realized I need to replace at least the lower hinges because the rollers are shot, but other than that, its repaired ok
