Got the front brakes replaced today amd got the bumper put back on finaly.

Still need to pull the oil cooler and figure out whats leaking. How does the coolant and oil flow through the cooler. I assume the pipe from the water pump feeds water to the cooler then through the block but i have no ideal how the oil flows. Does any one have some good picks of tge cooler. Just like to know what im getting into before i do it.

in my expernce with the oil cooler assembly on the duramax engine is simular to the old 7.3's the o rings get swollen and brittle and like to go to shit, throw an o ring in there, ne gaskets on the front for the water pump, so basicly all new gaskets and use a torque wrench things should be fine, RTV IS NOT NEEDED, i work in a gm dealership and with every single duramax i have ever had apart i ahve NEVER use copper spray or RTV unless it comes from factory with RTV there, never had an issue because i use a torque wrench:) and ofc take the time to clean the carbon build up in the engine and ALL sealing surfaces
