The gaskets don't always look blown out.

Make sure the machine shop checks the heads over good and surfaces them.

Replace thermostats because they will probably be damaged now.

Carefully purge the air from the coolant system when you refill.

I highly doubt that it's anything other then headgaskets......

You could have a seal/o-ring/etc that has been damaged to some degree where it is ok at ambient temps but not ok at 170 degrees.
Just a guess.

I had a 2002 LB7 and every 2 months I had to add about 1/2 a gallon of antifreeze. Wasn't in oil, wasn't leaking on ground, wasn't heater core. It would simply disappear. Never did figure it out before I sold it. It had 60K miles on it when I sold it. Good luck!

Rear cover

Do you tow heavy loads? Could be the rear cover leaking.

what is this adapter/area for? I believe your referencing the cover plate by the down pipe, which is held on with two bolts. I believe I have a leak from this cover. I have coolant coming from this area rapidly, and cannot trace if back to head gasket, egr, turbo, or this rear engine adapter water cover gasket.

I parked yesterday after a quick material pick up, with a 2000# trailer, and smoke started pouring out of the hood. the coolant seems to be coming from this cover (still trying to narrow down exact area). I am curious what this is even for??? Entire underside of truck is wet with coolant, and its dripping from the passenger side, bottom corner of the bell housing. It is coming from above this bell housing area (from what I can see laying on the ground). It doesn't seem to be coming from EGR, or head gasket (atleast from what ive seen so far). when the truck runs, it pours out from something, and stops when the truck is off. the truck only has 110K miles. Is this adapter cover known to leak? Temps have been in the low teens, sometimes single digits at night, the past couple days, and I have noticed a decent amount of white smoke from the exhaust, but it clears up when truck is up to temperature. I am also plugging the truck in at night, and it white smokes for a half mile or so in the morning. No pressure from the overflow jug cap, and the radiator hose is still soft.

Could a leak from this cover / gasket, leak this much, to soak the underside of the truck? It seems to be coming out, and contacting the oil pan and exhaust and that's creating the smoke / steam from the hood. Also, the white exhaust smoke is definitely diesel smell, not coolant.

I have a 2006 LBZ Chevy 3500 dually 4x4 that spits out the coolant tank all over the side of the truck only when towing boats or trailers with atvs. No lose of power at all I have a lot of stuff done to the truck thermostats, water pump, fan clutch, hose that busted between thermostat tube to egr, performance wise I have down pipe 3", exhaust 4" from turbo all the way back with muffler, intake, fuel rail Ppe cap, egr delete plate with pig stick, ppe tuner on 5stage 300hp, I've been only owner bought new but always ran truck hard thinking it can be head gaskets but wondering if it can be anything else easier and cheaper now before such a big job like full egr delete or oil cooler I been mechanic for gas application and boys but new to Diesel. Trying to correct on my own as I have had terrible experience with shops working on my truck pointing a intercooler clamp to my brake line and nearly killing me. Please every point of view to help me correct this is more then appreciated. Everything that fails on my truck is always replaced with a high performance upgrade. frustrated with this issue had a Friend/diesel tech pressure test the system and I lost from 16psi to 15psi in less then a minute then started the truck and it built up to 20psi as I revved up engine a bit for temps to go up.

Time for headgaskets^^^^^

Also make sure you have the heads checked out, and gone through by a competent machine shop.
