As the title states, looking for the overal length of the factory rear driveshaft on an extended cab short box truck.

My driveshaft decided to fold up last night pulling and I need to get one made up. I already ordered the LMM 1480 slip yoke and the GM 1480 pinion yoke with damper.

Any help is appreciated.

I have one in the shop I measure tomorrow morning for you Brad if you don't get it before.

If you could that would be much appreciated!

59.5in IIRC. I'd measure mine but it's raining out :D

Thanks! I’d measure mine but it’s in 2 pieces. Plus it also banged the exhaust up pretty good. Time for more flex pipe I guess. Nothing about my truck is a show truck, I set out to build a sleeper.

I put a 1480 setup in it, parts were supposed to be from a zf6 truck.

I suppose the LMM could be different but I don't see why it would be.

Slip Yoke (PN: 22918657)
Rear Axle Yoke Kit (PN: 12471499; has seal/nut/washer)
Strap (PN: 15734903)
Bolt (PN: 15734903)
T-Case Output Seal (PN: 12478093)

Driveshaft is going to cost me ~$225 which includes 4"x0.083" tube, 2x weld in 1480 flanges, 2x rockwell high strength industrial joints, and a balance job. They claim the rockwell joint holds up better than the spicer in pure torsion testing but they also use the rockwells because they do alot of military shafts.

I will probably swap out the rockwells for Spicer lube for lifes (non-greasables) once I get it.
