I am looking for the pre charge and bracket on my 04 LLY. Im going by the GM bulletin #03-08-50-014A.

Supposedly the wiring harness under the seat being pinched or chafed will cause my problmes-

*Various IPC warning indicators coming on
*DIC displays unknown driver
*memory seat may not recall
*RKE fobs may be inoperative
*radio and hvac may/will shut off
*engine cranks but will not start sometimes

On any rpo AN3 (codes in glovebox, alphebetical order)

Well, i had the seat checked by a buddy, as i am working 48 hours a week and in school 32, and he said nothing was found. But today, i couldnt even start the truck without this happening, and once it wouldnt start at all, cycled the key 3 times and the radio turned on, then i turned it and it fired up.

Next, i try to inspect the PCM wiring harness at the precharge pump bracket, and battery tray. Well drivers side battery tray is out and wheel liner, and i see no pump as the diagram in the bulletin shows me. I followed the wires to the frame from the brake fluid resevoir, and its not there as the paper showed. If anybody could help me, i would truly appreciate it.

I apologize for the long post, i may have missed the obvoius pump, bracket, whatever, because working on other peoples crap 14 hour days is gettin tiring, and working on my truck when i get home does not exactly "wake me up" Im 20 years old, and busting my ass everyday, all im hopin for is that somebody has had this problem, its been ongoing for months, and recently got very constant. Just hoping to catch a break at this point. Sorry for the long post, and thanks again for any advice, as always

I did on my 05, but never found a way to fix it. It only did it when it was cold outside, and sometimes it would start but wouldn't come out of gear

I REALLY need to get this figured out guys. Thanks bustedknuckles so far

also, obviously the long hours are getting to me, and working on big rigs and what not everyday. The precharge pump is for vaccuum breaks i think. I could be wrong, but wouldnt the same thing be my hydroboost or the equivalent at least?

I would just straight up switch the ecms. Idk what they mean by precharge pump either, couldn't decide if they ment power steering pump or the thing on the firewall.

im assuming hydroboost. Ill do that tomorrow. Im still tearing shit apart lol. if nothing else it makes me feel like im getting somewhere

also had a bad powersteering leak, so this gives me a chance to clean up. If nothing else at all, by god my engine will finally be clean

Have you tested the batteries and checked the connections? I've seen some really weird things happen when batteries are not in good shape.

since nobody else, that i know or on 3 forums can do much for me. I have decided the truck will not move from the garage untill this is fixed. I have put up with it occasionally for a while now, and i didnt pay for a half assed truck.

I will post up what i find when i fix it and hopefully help another fellow out later on the road.

Theft system will keep it from starting. I had a problem with a ignition fuse terminal loosing up on the fuse ans caused the theft deterrent to prevent running. It was a intermittent issue. It was luck just finding it. The door chime changes sounds while messing with the outside fuse block and thats how it was found.
