Hello, I'm new here and new to the Duramax as I just purchased my first one after driving Cummins and Powerstroke powered trucks. The truck operated flawlessly the first 400 miles I put on it in 2 weeks. It is a bone stock RWD w/77k on it. Yesterday the MIL came on and it went into "limp" mode running on 4 cylinders w/codes P0205, P2149, and a pending P0742. I found some worn injector wiring at the alternator bracket and repaired it. The truck ran no better. I did the "ice pick" trick on cyl. 5 and the truck started and ran flawlessly. The MIL went out on it's own. I cleared the pending code and drove the truck but now it slips/hesitates badly between each gear change. The fluid is full/clean but I'm afraid to drive it anymore. Any suggestions? I would be eternally grateful.

I'll try that but it was driving flawlessy prior to the #5 injector connector acting up yesterday. Trans fluid and filter appear to be brand new. It's just odd this happened all at the exact same time. Thanks for your reply!

BTW, is there a "re-learn" process for the Allison after the vehicle experiences "limp mode?"

do you have a tuner or anything? PPE xelerator has it, but usually the trans learns on its own unless you add power I thought
