Is there anyone out there who has experience with the bills custom intake vs say an S&B kit? The bills has a large S&B filter but i am curious as to proper placement of the MAF. It never threw a code and it was put it on before it was tuned..

The air filter gauge with a freshly clean air filter will also pull into the red after one good pull down the road. Is this normal? The tube is 4 inch i believe so i cant imagine there is any restriction to it...
I haven't used a bills custom, but the s&b will work perfect without tuning for it. My s&b fit perfectly and very happy with it. I thought I heard awhile back that bills intakes are no longer available. I think sdp, hsp(?) both make nice metal intakes if that's what you want. Also make sure you update the turbo mouthpiece if you haven't already.

And my lly would do the same with the filter minder on the stock intake. One hard wot and it would go in the red. After I installed my cai I noticed alot less black smoke...

I don't believe there is any issues with my bills intake, i was mainly curious on others thoughts on it as far as proper MAF location. Basically its just a 4inch fabricated aluminum tube with a S&B filter nothing magic about it.

Do you pull into the red with the S&B still? The inlet for the filter on my bills is 10inch IRC with a plastic venturi that necks it down to 4inch at the filter.

You wouldnt think it should but it does... im not sure why. I'm not over oiling the filter either. Maybe I'll take the filter off and run it for a pull and see what happens then

I didn't realize you already had bills intake. My s&b doesn't have a place for the filter minder. Is it possible that it's not the correct minder for your truck, like someone just stuck a random minder in there to fill the hole? Or did this issue just start recently?
