Looks just like a truck I see on my route. Same strange green headlights and all. How do u see at night with those anyway?

Hey, if you like it, fine. Just don't expect the majority here to be "for" it, too. The whole "diesel ricer look" is not what this forum is really about. Another example that DD has really gone to heck these last few years. I miss the old days of innovation and real perf discussions.

X2 Iowa.

I think copy cats and fly by the night shops have ruined the days of sharing great info. Guys spend many hours doing R&R just for someone else to take credit for it. Makes me laugh when some of the bigger diesel shops in the country can't build there own motors. But yet claim they designed a hard part. The bolt on game is strong these days.

Maybe the op should delete some of his photos and give some of something other then his under glow. I read this as thread as look at my bitchen under glow that I can tell you the brand and model of. Oh and I have a tune intake and exhaust... on this site we want specifics on how your truck performs better not how it looks.

I would probably say the truck looks good but all I can see in gaudy under glow.

That's what this forum is built on. If you have more appearance mods than go-fast mods then you are on the wrong forum. Not to sound like a dick but this is a drag racing and sled pulling forum with the sole purpose of going fast and doing whatever it takes to go fast.

It was.

This site is actually a microcosm of diesel motorsports in general.
It used to be all about performance (farmers sled pulling their farm trucks and drag racers racing their tow trucks), now it's mostly about smoke and appearance.

If it makes you feel any better, I joined to learn how to make mine faster/tow better with less or no smoke.

It's good to see not all hope is lost.

I went to a big car cruise recently. I was embarrassed to be a diesel owner/enthusiast. I saw why the other factions of the car culture despise "us". I've seen said behavior at diesel events and wrote it off to a select few, but when I saw it for 4 days straight at a general car event, I realized they are the diesel community now.

Despite what all of you probably now think of me, I actually did come here too to figure out the best ways to make my truck go faster while still trying to be safe. As well as fix any issues that come along and try to help others along the way.

We dont, Zak. You show the enthusiasm all of us started with and most of us still have. Why do you think we've on this forum and part of this hobby/sport? Its just that you're inexperienced. That will come with time.

To the O/P, Ive been thinking all day about my post, and Im sorry for what I said. It was out of line. You like your truck and are happy about it. That is all that matters.

My parents used to say, "If you dont have anything nice to say, then dont say anything." Even though we all may be frustrated with the direction the sport is going, ripping this young man really isnt the place to vent it. Again, I apologize for my behavior.

All the glowing lights isn't my thing, but all for making it your own.

The color matched mirrors are good. Are you going to color match the chrome parts of the bumpers to the paint also?
It's in the shop getting the bumper and roll pan done. Also getting stealth 64 turbo and ATS trans build

Don't be shocked if you get tickets for those lights, and if you don't, consider yourself lucky.

This happens to be out of Connecticut's vehicle code (found here), but I'm pretty sure most states have similar rules:

What are the allowable colors for my after market lighting?
Any light visible from a motor vehicle should be the following:

- Any light visible from the front of the vehicle shall be white,
yellow or amber.
- Any light visible from the forward most edge of the rear
tire of the vehicle to the front of the vehicle shall be
amber or yellow.
- Any light visible from the forward most edge of the rear
tire of the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle shall be red.
- Any light visible from the rear of the vehicle shall be red
or amber.

That looks like a Missouri plate on the front of your truck - Missouri's statutes are similar to Connecticut's.
Cops around here are pretty lenient. I work in Illinois they're not as cool with them. Lol

Youre good. All the flak goes in one ear and out the other. Trucks in the shop as we speak. Getting turbo and trans build for all you "go fastaholics" trucks makes 450 rwhp on current setup. Should get bumped up to around 550-575 with new fass and turbo

This is one thing where I'd reconsider what you hear from your buddies. Age is generally recognized as junk when it comes to duramax transmissions. If you want something that'll handle the power talk to Mike L at Inglewood or Evan at limitless. Save yourself the hassle of rebuilding it again in a year when you burn it up.

It's been rebuilt to hold 500 horses but my new charger setup will put me closer to 600 so im just rebuilding to prevent a grenade
