02 with 03+ front end?

I have an 02 LB7 I am going to be putting rockers and cab corners on over the winter then i will be repainting whole the truck. Is it possible to swap the newer style front ends onto an 02?

There's a boy that lives in my town that did it with a 1/2 ton truck. Seems like you've got to change the hood, fenders, grill, bumper, valance, and the top piece on the bumper. But it all bolts on if memory serves

I think it would be pretty cool to make my puller a twin to my street truck

No, frame horns will have to change from the 02 to the 03+. They are welded on too. Other than that it is bolt on. Core support, hood, fenders, lights, whole bumper, grill, and all the brackets gotta change

I would use the 06 hood and grill though.. If it were me..

:thumb: good to know! Still shouldn't be to bad of a job, and I also agree I'd go with 05 or 06

Are you sure that the frame horns have to change just to go from an 02HD bumper to an 03+ HD bumper?? I think thats only if you are going from 1/2 ton stuff to 3/4 ton stuff....

Yeah, unless there are different bolt holes in the 03 bumper that allow you to use it and move it forward, it wont work.
