LB7: Spewing coolant in wheel well and down truck

The thing is, its not daily.... And it doesnt leak anywhere but from that overflow hose. It like boils over, and all drains out the hose. Its not getting into where it shouldnt be. Cap could make it do this? Stats too? I ruled out the gaskets because the top hose isnt staying hard, and...

Takes forever for truck heat to get warm

The gauge will move a little, but not too much at all... some days, like today, when the drive this morning never got any warmer than -8, it got a hair above 140, but the cab never really felt to get any warmer then when I got in it, in my garage at 34 degrees.

Takes forever for truck heat to get warm

I drive from my home in Owosso, to work in Lansing daily! :) It's a small world, eh? :thumb: And no, I haven't checked the thermostats... what's all required in that process of changing them? I know one thing for sure, the plastic shield under the glovebox that squeaks the entire time...

Takes forever for truck heat to get warm

I have the 02 LB7 and have noticed lately that the truck takes forever to get warm on the inside. Granted, in Michigan here, it's been sub 0 for the past few weeks, but still, it's been doing it for a while. I have a winter front cover on, and park in a garage that stays around 40 degrees. When...

    LB7: Shocks? Leafs? Other?

That was the biggest pain in the nuts. The lower bolt was seized in position, and It wasn't coming out. I had to drop my trailer hitch to even get a wrench on the bolt. 7.5 hours, and a few newly learned words later, it was fixed. I can't believe 2 stupid bolts, removing a hitch, and...

    questionable mpg

I have an 02 2500HD LB7 Crew Cab with the next size up tire, and straight piped, other than that it's BONE stock. With my Ultraguage calculating, I'm getting, on average, 14.1 MPG. I have a 70 mile round trip drive everyday, and when I'm on the 55 mph road, which is 26 miles of my journey...

    LB7: Shocks? Leafs? Other?

Well. After getting home and looking under the truck, the results were immediate. The rear passenger spring shackle had rusted through sending the leaf right to the bottom of my bed. Needless to say, there's a nice little dent where the spring hit it. Called around for parts, AutoZone...

    LB7: Shocks? Leafs? Other?

Good Morning :) Here's whats going on... I have a 2002 2500HD Crew Cab that, over the weekend, has developed a new sound, or condition, whichever you prefer. The roads here in Mid-Michigan are terrible, and all the moisture getting under the cracks in the road and freezing and thawing...

    LB7: Voltage issue - possibly?

Thanks for the thought, but that was the first think I checked. Both are Tight Tight... Other people tole me it's a bad radio... if that was the case, wouldn't it not work at all? or the clock not work at all? or something more to the problem,?

    2002 LB7 Voltage Issues

it's only the clock, and it's only been doing it for about a week now. all the presets remain. I can leave the radio on, and turn the truck off at 6pm, and immediately restart it, and the radio will be off, and at 1:00.

    2002 LB7 Voltage Issues

ok, all the mounts are good, and grounds seem to be ok... where do I go from here? Every time I shut the truck off and start it back up, the clock is reset to 1:00. All the radio presets are still there. What is causing it to reset every time it's started?

    2002 LB7 Voltage Issues

Thanks for the reply! But the strange thing is, its only been happening for about the last year, with the voltage thing. The clock, about the last week. Im in Michigan, so I know all about the cold. But it does it when its 90 out too. I know the battery cables are tight too, because I just...

    2002 LB7 Voltage Issues

Hello! I have a 2002 LB7 that has been having some voltage issues as of late. I always turn the key to the run position to let the glow plugs warm, no matter what time of year. As soon as the "Wait to Start" light goes out I start it. When I start it, the voltage remains at about 10 or so...
