    I don't truly know, but have talked to two places that do nothing but rebuild TC, and both said if there was a leak it should find it. Said they have seen them leak around where it bolts to the flex plate, but not the weld around the pilot. Seem to agree it should be a pretty noticeable leak...

    Yea, I brought that up as well, but kind of the least of my concerns. I did drain 4 quarts out of the converter to have it tested. He said it was synthetic. Was like pretty sure Allison says just DexIII. Not sure if mixing synthetic with the DEXIII that was in there is a problem. Do know it...
