    Larger bore

I'm not sure exactly what you guys are talking about with the fill line? Out of the 6 cylinders I cracked number 6 cylinder was the worst. It appears the only thing that held it in was the block filler at the base from the half fill. It split on both coolant jackets from about an inch down from...

    Larger bore

I believe I'm the guy Mr Griffith is talking about that cracked a cylinder. I actually split 6 cylinders in that block they split right at the water jackets allowing the coolant to dump into the cylinders and hydrolock the engine. That was a.060 lly block partial filled, billet mains, girdle and...

Heads are lifting...what are my options?

I know they were overkill at the time I was just simply letting you guys know of another option for anyone running big power that is having problems.

Heads are lifting...what are my options?

When I built my first engine for my pulling truck in 2010 I ran something a little different but kinda like a fire ring. They were nitrogen filled rings and you would only cut a groove in the block not the heads and the head gaskets actually were cut to fit around them not crush with them. I was...

    2500 vs 3500

The 2500 will handle it but I think you would like a 3500 dually a lot better when it comes to pulling something that big and heavy. A dually just makes everything feel more stable when pulling something heavy like that. If you decide to use a 2500 though I would strongly recommend a set of...

Anyone else ever broke a Burkhardt axle?

Hey Tony I wasn't complaining about my hub breaking at all this is truck pulling and parts will break that's inevitable. When I called you about my hub that broke and you told me to send it back with the axle and you would cover it under warranty I was really impressed. Most places if you buy...

Anyone else ever broke a Burkhardt axle?

I didn't break one of his axles but I broke the end splined hub section into 3 pieces somehow and that caused the splines to get tore up on the end of the axle. I talked to Tony and he said that should've never happened and they covered a whole new assembly for one side under warranty.

Question: Towing speeds for travel trailer and tire safety

I haven't hit 100mph with my trailer but I regularly cruise around 85 or so. Most trailer tires aren't really rated for anything over 65mph from what I've seen but I searched for a while and ended up getting a set of Maxxis tires M8008 I believe. They're rated to 106mph they say. So far they've...

    Question: looking for different tires

I believe there's a few company's making dually 20's now and you should be able to get mud tires to fit them if you don't wanna go back to stock little 16's.

    Recommendations for a 235/85R16

I have 235/85/16 Bfg a/t ko on my dually and they handle great on the highway and have good traction in dirt but didn't last very long only 25,000 miles but I've been known to do a few burnouts with them. I'm gonna try the general grabber a/t 2 this year they're a little cheaper and I hear they...

    Cranks

Well hopefully this alter fire cam idea will be the fix for me because I've already got a girdle, billet main caps, a partial filled block and all the other good stuff and I'm still breaking cranks.

    Cranks

I know that being in a competitive sport like drag racing or sled pulling where we all continue to push are vehicles harder and harder is gonna break parts here and there and I'm not complaining about the cranks I've ruined doing it but what really gets me is these trucks aren't cheap by any...

    Cranks

I broke one modified stock crank and cracked a billet Crower one that can't be fixed and I've never run water meth at all.

    Broken Crankshaft Count?

Is there any company currently building cams for the different firing order or are you guys just getting a company to make them when you need them?

    Broken Crankshaft Count?

I have a stock firing order cam and yes this is getting very expensive. I need to try and figure something out because with the price of parts I don't wanna be putting a new crank in every year.

    Broken Crankshaft Count?

I broke the crank in my lly 2.6 pulling truck the end of my 2012 season. It was a stock lly crank that had been made a stroker. It broke right in front of the first rod. ATI balancer, ATS flywheel, Girdle, Billet Mains, ARP studs, Partial filled block and full built motor. It broke right at the...
