    Question: Three OBD Codes

Update Initially the TCM was repalced. After a few days the codes returned as well as the shifting problem. Second step the FICM was replaced. Truck has been daily-driven for 5-days. No codes, and no shifting problems. I hope this helps anyone out there with similar issues.

    Half ton towing

While you are replacing the tranny, check your diff ratio. Spend the few extra bucks and go with something in the range of 3.70 to 3.80. And obliviously an electric brake controller. Trust me on the gear ratio.....My 2007 5.3 came with the 3.42.....that sux.

    Question: 2003...Buy or pass?

I have the opportunity to purchase a 2003, 100 % stock, no trips to the dealer for problems and/or warranty work. Never seen a mechanic except for routine maintenance. 77,845 miles. For what it's worth, the Carfax is clean. All replies appreciated.
