    Trans mount - MikeL/Evan preferred?

Thats what it is then :). I had read lots of back and forth as to whether or not the poly is good, or works with regular engine mounts etc. Since Evan is going to do the trans when the time comes, I figured I should ask him and Mike what their preference is since they deal with these every day...

    Trans mount - MikeL/Evan preferred?

I'm in the process of setting up a time with Evan for my trans build at the end of the summer/beginning of fall. I've been getting some really insane vibrations that I couldn't track down. Realized yesterday that my trans mount is allowing movement in all directions when I used the output shaft...

UCA/alignment problem -> Zone UCA the answer?

A few months back I built my front end. For the UCA, I chose to go with Moog problem solvers with offset bushings for added camber adjustment. I personally can not align a vehicle, never done it. But I did do the parts install, and it went smoothly. So, the whole front end is new including...

Quick question about different EGR delete method

That's what I ordered, but since I could only use one of the pieces it didnt seem worth it. im on tune 1 til I build the trans haha

Quick question about different EGR delete method

Sorry. I have an EGR delete ready to install. I found a boost leak at the passenger intercooler boot. So, I bought the mishimoto 3.5" outlet duct replacement which is 3.5"OD, thinking to use it with my EGR delete for extra flow. But, I didn't realize the EGR delete tube is connected directly to...

Quick question about different EGR delete method

So This weekend I am hoping to get my EGR delete installed. I discovered a boost leak at the cold side boot, so I had to order a new one. While searching through options, I came across the mishimoto 3.5" cold side tube kit, and bought it thinking my EGR delete would work with as it keep stock...

Not stuck yet, but close. In Norfolk

I'm on cape cod. I'll take you up on that someday for sure, throw a few back while we're at it. I did my joints 6 weeks ago on the lift at work, but didn't help the damn squeak. I'm gonna pop the rear cover off for a look and take the rear axle down to the seals to check things out.

Not questioning your choices, just trying to get more understanding of specifics when it comes to components. I like to know as much as possible about this stuff. Why is it the 1480 is stronger? I too went with the 1480 (Moog) but only because it was the part number associated with the truck...

I guess I now don't understand. The OEM part is the 1485, but you felt the 1480 was a better choice because it is stronger? If it does not fit without modification, is it really stronger? I'm trying to determine, if while under the truck next week amidst EGR delete, up pipe, downpipe, hot side...

So would you think purchasing the OEM 1485 would require no modifications?

LMM: What sounds systems is everyone running?

you could really attach any speaker if you wire it in. The impedance is slightly different but still workable. Unless you have failing speakers, you'll get the best performance from the OEM bose until you're ready to remove it.

The new u-joint is larger? Which did you buy? I don't think i'm having the same issue, because it made the squeak with OEM U-joints and with the new grease-able moogs

LMM: What sounds systems is everyone running?

The bose is wired differently, and dependent on year uses the mos transmission system. When doing aftermarket speakers, it's best to route around the bose and remove OEM stuff where appropriate. The bose isn't that much better than the regular OEM system, it really just has sub channel which...
