2002 LB7 Fuel Leak by Cooler

in my searches about my situation, I do remember seeing replacements for the little tubes that actually screw into the cooler. Now I can’t remember where I saw those.

the crimped collar plus about 3-6” of line is crusty. The rest of the tubing looks basically new. So cutting them back a little ways from thejunction is going to be necessary.

About 4-6” back from the leak, the lines look new. Just the very end is crusty like the pics in my OP.

    truck towing pictures...

Just a day or so ago on IG Adam said he's about to start putting an 8.3L Cummins in an FL truck. So I assume he's still hauling or about to be again. I can't remember if he posted it on here or not but he did end up losing his father a while back.

2002 LB7 Fuel Leak by Cooler

Digging on Summit last night and I tried to put together a setup like that but I wanted a pushlock style barb to put on that fitting and all the barbs were too little that would thread onto it. I've not bought a lot of fittings in my day. I feel like it'd be 1000x easier if I could go put my...

2002 LB7 Fuel Leak by Cooler

This is more the route I'd been thinking of taking if it doesn't require a flaring tool or anything since I don't have one. I suppose I could buy one to have for any such occasion in the future. Always a good excuse to add some tools to the stash. (y) Then I'd just get a straight/inline pushlok...

Just push the hose over the tube & put a clamp on it? Or is there a better fitting to transition from straight tube to hose?

2002 LB7 Fuel Leak by Cooler

Finally finished the power steering hose & hot side intercooler pipe replacement and new shocks all the way around and upon wrapping up the rear shocks yesterday, it was noticed that the truck has sprung a fuel leak. It's leaking where the braided hose crimps to the hard line near the fuel...

    2021 Silverado 3.0 review thread.

I see it now that you mention it, Tom. Almost completely camouflaged by the reflection in the shiny paint. I thought I remembered there being a duramax badge at my glance, I just saw the Z71 badge and thought I'd ask.

Nice looking truck. Is there no "diesel" badging on these to help ID them in passing on the road?

    Anyone “overland” ?

Ugh. At least it hit at a more opportune time! Do you happen to have a part number for the Dorman replacement? :giggle:

Just saw this about Rick Fletes!

he's got it running good. And I love how much dedication he's able to put into travel and hitting some really cool races with it more often than most in the diesel game. Impressive isn't apt enough to describe him & his car.

    Front bumper/grille recommendations?

Thanks for that update! So glad to hear it's positive. I really enjoyed his input/contribution to the forum beyond the diesel stuff. His insight on the farming world was very fascinating. Miss that content. Sorry for the slight deviation on the thread topic, @TheBac

    Front bumper/grille recommendations?

He had the nonhodgkins lymphoma cancer, right? Had a nice diesel jetta too? Farmed & had/liked Fendt equipment? Am I thinking of the correct guy? I've always wondered how he's doing after his battle with cancer but never see him on the forums anymore so had hoped the worst hadn't happened...

How did you get into your career?

Took drafting at VoTech in HS. Graduated in 2000 & went to college for civil engineering thinking I wanted to become a surveyor - thought it paid well and would allow me to be outside most work days. Had to have engr. degree to sit for the surveying lic. after 4yrs of "apprenticeship". Thought...

How did you get into your career?

Does your work expose you to a lot of radiation or cancer-causing stuff? Not a slight, just see you had cancer and so did your mentor. I fully understand correlation doesn't equal causation. Just curious.
