Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

EGT's are the same, spool feels tad better but it's very difficult to tell since I changed 1500-2000ft in elevation when I swapped them on and we did not log spool time before. Haven't been back to the good air with them yet. The data Leen has on them from an engine dyno compared to cast...

1/4 mile discussion and time slips post here!

Nice job Blake! 312k miles, is that like gapping the rings on an LS? [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Question: Best 60’ on a street/strip truck

Rancho 9000's valving adjusts both compression and rebound with a single knob. It's either firm or soft. I max them out on 9 and they do fine up to 700-800hp or so. Over 1000hp and they are just along for the ride. Lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

I have tossed around the idea of letting my wife run it for an easy 130lbs weight reduction but if it makes me pucker at full tilt I am afraid she will struggle to control it, especially if something goes south. She is definately more consistent on the tree than I am but for now we will keep her...

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

Manifolds are holding up perfectly so far. Fit and finish is great. Leen has done a great job on them, only change on the production design is the NPT ports will be moved a tad further forward so the bolts can be removed without removing the NPT fitting. No data yet on performance comparison...

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

A little humor on the officer pulling us over... Josh was driving the LBZ to the track while my wife and I were following with the trailer. My radar detector went off and I saw her sitting in the median. Flashed my lights a few time and Josh thought that meant go instead of slow. He was...

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

Same tune. The MPH change was due to shutting it down when coolant covered the windshield. Pretty sure that would have been our 9 sec pass but not worth destroying a block when its boiling out coolant from a lack of circulation. If you look close on the big end you can barely see the moisture...

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

Thanks guys. If it's not fun and frustrating at the same time then it's not worth doing. [emoji1787] But I think Josh stays frustrated while I have fun. Lol, same same. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Still Making Progress with the Milk Jug

Haven't posted in a while so just a quick update. Started off this build laying down 1199hp on the dyno and running a 10.28 at 6400lbs before running into a trans issue. Despite the complications, we are still having fun pushing this build to its limits. Water pump failure and some shifting woes...

    Question: Best 60’ on a street/strip truck

Good all around shock that doesn't necessarily excel at 1 thing. No complaints from my end, I am still running them but they do lift pretty bad at the track with plenty of horsepower. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Question: Best 60’ on a street/strip truck

We didnt want to let all 50hp loose on the track, so we kept the tow mirros in for only 25hp. Lol Those manifold gaskets were garbage at the end of the day. Sounded like an old worn out small block Chevy trying to drive home. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Question: Best 60’ on a street/strip truck

My best 60ft was after shedding 900lbs and good track prep. Squeezed out a 1.47 on Rancho 9000's, stock torsion setup, and heavy dom track bars. Definately a gutted scenario though. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Truck dies at red light

Could be a leak in the system and sucking air. Check the fuel filter, make sure its tight. Check the filter housing, lines, etc. You can press the primer bulb a couple of times and see if it hold prime or a leak downstream shows up. The primer bulb should be firm when working properly. If all...

    Denso HP4 pump

The updated screen goes from a single layer 80 micron to a dual layer 25 micron. While much better than original, it is still a screen and not a filter. Imagine moving a couch through a doorway... turn it long way and it fits right in despite being substantially larger than the door opening. I...

At this moment, the Denso pump is not a sensible swap although it can be done. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

    Denso HP4 pump

What do you want to know about it? Lol. Easiest way is to swap the clam shells and move the bridge closer to the turbo but it would require a 6.5" pedestal or higher. Pump hits the bridge in the normal location. We are playing with some things to see if we can make it work though. Sent from my...
