    Horn ground

Theres only 1 pin on the multi function switch. It contacts the backside of the cancel cam. The horn contacts plunger contacts the cam on the front side. Everything functions as it should, except the steering shaft and wheel are not grounded enough to apply ground to the horn relay control...

    Horn ground

Ok, if I heave hard in any direction on the steering wheel, it makes ground and horn functions correctly. Meter shows continuity from shaft to ground when I heave on wheel but none when I let go. Does the shaft get grounded thru mounts to body and steering box/chassis or does the clockspring...

    Horn ground

Grounding the intermediate shaft makes no difference. I literally have to apply my own ground to the steering wheel structure or right to the shaft (at the steering wheel nut) for horn contacts to function normal Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Horn ground

I'll dig in a little further tomorrow. It's a pretty rusty PA truck. Will be interested to see what this could be. Thanks Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Horn ground

With airbag installed, I literally have to smash it, in an upward motion to get horn to work. But if I ground the steering wheel structure, the contacts work as they should, with hardly any pressure applied. Kinda throwing me for a loop Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Horn ground

Where does the 03 - 07 trucks get the ground for the steering wheel? In order for the horn to work on an 06 I have in, I have to ground the steering wheel(the actual cast structure of the steering wheel), and then the contacts work fine and horn functions. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Seriously?

It actually seems like it would take more time, effort, even materials to do it the wrong or half arse way, than do it right. [emoji848] Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Oil prime

The differential doesn't need removed completely. It can just be lowered. But you are correct about everything else. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    LML fueling

It was the tuning. The exhaust was pretty old, based on the rust. So it's pretty crazy to wonder how long the previous owner might have driven this way. If you had tow anything, it wouldn't have been able to get out of its own way. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

L5P will barely start, then die Please Help

With the reports I've seen of the cracked oil pickup tubes, I'd be doing the whole 9 on yours. New pump, seals, and pickup tube. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    LML fueling

I'm going to see if the dealership can get ahold of the previous owner. I cannot see anything that would limit rail. Question, does the sotf switch make fuel temp stay constant? I'm assuming so. Like tune 1 is -40*, then tune 2 is 32*, and so on? Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    LML fueling

It's a trade in at the dealership I do work for, so I'm not sure at this point. In fact, sluggish/low power wasn't even on their list of things to look at. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    LML fueling

Maf flow looks correct, 32ish g/s at idle and goes up to 418 ish wot. Map is same as baro at idle, then up to 82 in at wot. Boost is always correct during the run, mirroring map minus baro. Desired Boost is 14.4 at idle and up to 94.9 psi at wot. I don't have access to lml tables to see what...

    LML fueling

Have a 15 LML in here. Tuned, SOTF switch, non compliant. It runs super lazy and sluggish, checked all the normal stuff. I noticed it maxes out at a desired FRP of 72xx psi. Ive tried all positions of the SOTF switch, cleaned MAF, checked air filter, etc. What would limit the desired rail...

    Wiring Issues

I could get injectors 1, 3 & 8 to shut down and trip their respective P12xx code by wiggling the injector control wires at the back of the ecm connector. So I replaced those 3 female pins as well as cyl 2, since it had that code set when the truck was hauled in. Problem solved. Sent from my...

    Wiring Issues

It's those stupid round pins in the ecm connector. I've had trouble with those on 4l60 tcm connectors in the past. I should have some saved here somewhere Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Wiring Issues

I only pulled 3 glow plugs, cyl 8 was the one with thw injector hosing fuel. Cyl 2 had the code set upon arrival. Get it running with new injectors, cyl 1 sets the code now..... Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk

    Wiring Issues

Those p1223, etc codes were for the circuit between ficm and ecm based on the diagnostic instructions. But I am going to have to check everything before sending the ficm out. I just wonder why it switched cylinders after the injector change. Sent from my SM-G990U2 using Tapatalk
