    06 LBZ P0087 Headache

If it's taking a bunch of time to prime the lift pump itself that is not a good sign and means there is an air or fuel leak on the suction side of the pump if what you're saying is accurate. If the pump sound doesn't change but it takes a moment for fuel to say come out of the test port, that...

    Melling M561

I wonder how this pump compares to a pinned/shimmed stocker (01-10 + 11-16) as well as an M316 for volume?

What makes a Ford engine tick

I don't personally agree with this. Their 6.7L intake horn is a great piece and solves a very real issue. I think many of their hard parts are actually quite good but they do carry that "Banks tax" that I don't think they really deserve.

    Banks DataMonster or Edge CTS2

They haven't BUT there is a better solution to add EGT which is using a 0-5V scaler box. I've done it on many trucks and had zero issues both with reading and sensors failing.

Looking for Allison build/install options near Virginia.

This is what we do in our "OEM+" builds rated to 550whp as well (tune only/stock fuel/stock air) and it's done very respectably and held up much further than the 550whp it's rated for. You got a solid setup and George knows how to build an Allison that's for sure.

    Banks DataMonster or Edge CTS2

Personally I think the iDash is a better logger than the CTS2 ever could be BUT you have to intend to use it as a logger. You can easily add EGT and boost to your CTS2 tho and they (in my opinion) are better than CTS3 units. A CTS2 is a better monitor due to screen size alone but I also don't...

    Valve lash

I would pull pushrods and measure/inspect for wear as well as rolling on a flat surface like James suggested to check for straightness. I typically avoid most things Wagler but that's my preference. I typically run everything Manton (or private label Manton like XDP) as I've never had a...

    Allison replacement quote question

Personally I run OEM hard parts at that HP level. If it's something I know the customer is going to abuse at the top end of the rating I will sleeve the C2 hub. Above that I go to a billet C2/P2 combo with billet shafts. That's worked well for me and I have not had to warranty a unit. Thank you!

    Allison replacement quote question

Personally we charge $5750 plus tax for a prebuilt uninstalled unit rated to 750whp. We charge $750 to install including fluid, hot flush, and adaptive reset/quick learn. That's good clutches (18 friction C1, 7 friction C2, 6 friction C3/C4 w/LML springs and pistons, OEM C5), Goerend billet...

01-10 steering box redhead ,PSC ,OEM

I have never received a 4 bolt box from Rock Auto under than PN, only the proper 6 bolt box and I've had great luck with them. I cannot comment on any other retailer. I did buy 2 of the EBay boxes that were 6 bolt in the images but received 4 bolt boxes. As such, I would not recommend buying...

Yes it is the 978418GB PN as referenced in this thread on quite a few pages. I don't order them by fitment, I order off of PN alone.

I bought one a month or so ago without an issue and did get a 6 bolt box. I do not, sorry. We only stock a few for jobs at our facility.

Looks like the proper PN. I've been buying them from RockAuto so I cannot confirm if the Amazon link will deliver a 6 bolt box.

Current record for the Oval Race Cast pistons!

I've had very very good results with them as well.

Well there goes my chances of 9s this year

Yes. It's two flanges with o-rings and a sealing "ring" is inserted over them. The clamp sets the maximum distance between the flanges/stops them from coming out of the sealing ring as well as locating the sealing ring. They work very very slick. I typically like to use 1 per pipe if possible...

    Got Sludge?

Analysis is the only way to properly run extended intervals IMO. Any oil these days will run an OEM interval it seems. Personally I'm a big Hot Shot's or CenPeCo guy for engine oils as neither have done me wrong and it's hard to argue with their performance. That's not saying others are bad...

    Built motor oil

It's a bit of both. The material used has a higher melting point. Also due to the lack of an oil chamber in the piston (best term I can come up with right now) they have more thermal mass and thus don't heat up as quickly. Plus they usually have very generous radii on all cuts and bowl designs...
