    Cut, fit, weld, paint. The thermostat hosing can also be flipped by cutting off and rewelding the two end tabs. I did the hard way and made a new plate. Looking back, easier to just change 2 outside holes..

    Thanks for the info. I plan to run up Tampa way tomorrow, so will give them a call. One of my buddies here told me to check Precision Shaft Technologies in Clearwater also. Guess they have done a few marine setups also. We got both drives off today, and one gear box out. Other shaft looks fine..

    Well being it's currently running a 50% failure rate, will discuss options with some marine driveline experts after inspecting the other shaft tomorrow. I'm limited by flange diameters on both ends of the shafts.

    We had an appointment set already with a local shop to pull the drives Monday morning and address those leaking gear reduction boxes. So while it sure makes me wonder why that spline shaft broke, it shouldn't impact our overall testing schedule. Expect to back out on the water by midweek.
