    i have a 01 lb7 duramax and it came into the shop cause the number 5 injector was leaking. removed it found corrosion in the seat. so i got a new one installed it it leaked too. took it off cleaned off the injector side of the seat (injectors are 4 months old) and re installed leaks less now but...

    have a 2002 gmc 3500 duramax with the hydro boost here, and what a night mare its been. fixed all the brake lines replaced the master cylinder.it had no pedal when it came in and it still has none. any thoughts on this problem?

    found a bad return line gasket figures and of course its the drivers side what a pain in the behind.:mad:

    opened the valve covers found all four of the banjo bolts to be loose, but i know for a fact that i torqued them to 37 ft lbs, even checked twice.

    i have come to the conclusion it is probably a return line. so i drained the oil and refilled and took off both breather hoses off the valve covers and figured i could at leats see which one was puking oil into the vent tube that was coming out the bottom. now it runs great no smoke no issues...

    would that contribute to the smoke? i have never worked on these smaller diesels so i don't know. i changed all the seals on the return lines and torqued accordingly.
