    Yea id figure there would be problems, i got a remanufactured starter but with a warranty, ill try it out with another and see what happens

    Ahh ok ill have to try that thanks Do yall know if on the starter the small postive post is supposed to be loose on the regulator at all, because that whole piece moves around?

    I got a 03 lbz duramax with about 180k. I recently replaced starter, the new worked for about 5 starts now it wont work at all, i tried jumper cables and tapping the starter but still wont work. The solenoid wire gets real hot. Its activating and sounds like its locked up or something.
