    That's ok, because it's still doing it. I talked with Mike L about the trans, and he seemed to think it was the converter coming apart and clogging the cooler. I put a new converter in it, along with a shift kit and all was well for a while. Then it just mysteriously came back. I dont know...

    I'm pretty sure everytime I hear it, the fan is roaring along with it. If the pump is damaged, would it go back to normal? You can hear in the vid, it returns to normal without me doing anything other than holding the throttle steady. Where can I find this trans cooler y'all are talking about?

    Well, it definitely seems to be temp related. I pulled yesterday in that extreme heat, and it did it about 8 times on the way home. I did get a video of it doing it this time.     I pulled again this weekend, and sure enough it did it. For a few seconds anyway. If it was an issue like shaft play, wouldnt it be an issue anytime it was in boost? I can run the piss out of it w/out the trailer hooked up, and it's flawless. I pulled the trailer about 15 miles that morning...

    Nope, doesnt smoke at all. I read a little bit of a thread I found on google that mentioned a CP3 making noise. Looks like they're 8-900 bucks, hope that's not what I'm hearing.....

    I've been running the level 2 tune. I thought maybe the tuner would help since it was doing this stock, but it's done it with the tune installed too.

    It just loses about half the power. Doesnt shimmy/shake or anything. It's only happened under a load pulling my concession trailer. Trailer weighs around 13k pounds.

    Truck was bone stock first time it did it, has done it twice now with the 4" exhaust, and PPE tune.

    I thought that, but it sounds like a mechanical whine. It stops on it's own w/out shutting the truck down, would a boost leak do that? I'm not real familiar with diesels, but have dealt with boosted cars for a while.

    Question: Towing with PPE Standard

    I've been towing with the PPE level 2, and am happy so far. Pulling a 12k concession trailer with ease. Have any of you guys ran the level 3 w/out getting the boost/egt gauges? I want to try it out, but dont want to take a chance of tearing something up.

    hitch stripped on trailer, any advice

    I had the same thing happen to my equipment trailer. Nobody had the piece, and the manufactor wouldnt sell just that piece. I ended up just getting a Bulldog jack and being done with it. Good luck with your search.
