    Steering Gear Question

    My steering has a lot of play in it so I am going to change the steering gear my question is before I get started ....I have a new gear for a 1500 4wd Chevrolet Is this one the same as in my 2500HD? didn't GM only have 1 or 2 castings for these? thanks for all the help!!!

    DBUSHLB7 I noticed your post on switching the tail shaft about it being ass up and belhousing down.....so is there some trick to switching the tail shafts other than just unbolting and switching them?.... thanks

    Thanks!!! for the quick replies.....I haven't had a chance to look at the cooler line connectors on the trans I have found but I suppose if they are different I could just swap cooler lines???
