Hello. I recently had fuel pressure problems and they changed the pressure sensor and deleted the egr. My truck died and won’t start. I took the fuel pump out of the tank and it has a small amount of shavings in it. The delete they did was supposed to be done to avoid this. What could or would cause this.

Thank you: Trent Slaugh

As Tom said we need the year

If it's an LML with the CP4 pump then generally that's not a good sign

Yup.....cp4. Time to take it back to the shop and write a large check.

Moved to LML section

As others have said, it's very likely the CP4 is dead. That's the only way I've ever seen them get metal into the fuel system, especially at the pump.

You do have some options and I would highly recommend you look at a 50 state legal (no tune required) CP3 conversion kit. The S&S kit is the most proven to work correctly without a tune in my experience.
