I recently purchased a 2006 gmc 2500. The truck runs and drives great! I have an edge display that has a few diagnostic features. I ran an injector balance rate test and got a high value on cylinder 3. After driving the truck I ran this test and all cylinders were right around 1 except for cylinder 3, it was around 7. I can’t feel any rough idle or tell this injector is bad at all. Can anyone clear what this test even does up for me? Do I have a bad injector and don’t know it?

Low compression, bent rod or clogged injector will gove you that reading. If it drives and idles good then don't worry about it

What's the main rate mm3?

This is my first diesel so I’m just learning everything.
I have no idea what main rate mm3 is lol.
Do you think maybe some injector cleaner might help me out a little? It seems to run fine and doesn’t smoke.

It certainly wouldn't hurt.

Look through the list of pids and see if you can find one that is the main injection fuel rate. We need that in addition to the balance rates to make a more informed guess

You can try doing a compression test to see if that is effecting the balance
