Can Some one Identify this fitting on the Pick up for an LBZ?

I picked up a donor LBZ truck and the bed is off. The plastic fitting on the round portion is the part I am Questioning. Is that fitting part of something that is broken off? It doesn't appear to be broken or cut on the end. It looks clean.

So I am wondering if its supposed to be like that or is it part of something that is missing or may have been removed prior to me picking it up.

That's how they are.

normal. just a cap on an unused line. I believe it was designed for multiple uses and that line is not used in the Duramax so it is capped

Thanks! I wasn't sure as I am not familiar with it. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't missing something that I might need to track down for my swap.
