    LBZ Fan Clutch

You guys talking about that wagon wheel make me think of what i did to mine. I had initially taken a dremel and cut out all the wagon spoke looking things and only left the mounting points like the LML and newer are. Makes it much easier to get to things. I have since removed that wheel...

    Got Sludge?

He has a private shop But John Deere is primarily what he works on. As far as i know its happened on others too. Some of the excavation guys around will refuse to run bio in their excavators.

    Got Sludge?

My opinion on this is that it is very true. My cousin is a tractor mechanic and they have changed fuel pumps just because the machine was sitting over winter or summer with bio in the system. Makes the fuel system rust.

    2022 Allison fluid change?

James is right except I’m not sure what drain plug he is referring to. All the 10L1000s I’ve worked on only have the level check plug. Also the fill plug is a pain to get fluid in as it’s right by exhaust. Requires a pump of some sort. I wish it was all like the original Allisons still.

    Did I blow it up?

It will at the least need a bore job. If it’s got a hole torched from the injector it may have a hole in the cylinder wall.

    Did I blow it up?

I’m almost wondering if you didn’t torch a piston and the crankcase vent is plugged and it blew the rear main seal out. See if the puffs of smoke at bellhousing stop if you leave oil fill cap off?

    Frame Differences?

It’s been about a year ago now. It was on a truck a fixed and sold but its local yet so i could maybe check on it sometime.

    Frame Differences?

Yep. This stuff is as close to the factory stuff that I’ve ever found. I’ve used it on redoing a frame. Remains to be seen how it lasts.

    Boost sensor question

I think Josh gave you good advice. My guess is it needs a new MAP sensor. Total different sensor than the MAF.

    Help please, dropped driveshaft

Yep looks like the extension/tail housing disintegrated when your shaft went. She wont drive as it is. Yes you will need to pull the transmission to stand it on end so you dont loose parts when doing the change. You can probably find a used one online or a salvage yard like Hicksville Auto...

    Seriously?

My i hate rat nests like that. Some people just have no idea how to wire things up nicely.

    2004 lb7 duramax

For long term reliability you better keep it out of stage 3. Although if it were mine it wouldn’t stay out long😜. Having a little bit of fun with it occasionally probably wont hurt much IF you put it in tow haul mode so torque converter locks up in second gear and don’t do boosted launches or...

    LBZ Problem Child

The LBZs have a problem of wires chafing against the wheel well liner where the wires curl around to go into the ECM. I would check that along with making sure all grounds are good.

Old guy, just getting into Diesel

Welcome. Looks like you got some extra boost with that big snail off to the side there. Hopefully the heads are studded.

What is the number 1 thing you have done to make your truck tow better?

Quality tune as the rest of my mods wouldn’t be much good without it.

    Duramax Squarebody “shift range inhibit”

This is exactly my thoughts that came to me within the first few lines i read of your question. Do you have the fluid up to the correct mark on dipstick with engine running. The engine must be running When checking level.

    Lml no power

That hose is really flexible. If it wouldn’t be for the bands around it, it wouldn’t last long. I think Ron may have some answers for you as well.

    Lml no power

Your meaning the short piece between the two plastic ends? That should have steel rings placed in the bellows to keep it from expanding.
