Just a quick heads up to anyone running a Baldwin 46062, you may want to check your fuel filter. Per a discussion on another board, there appears to be no water separator in these filters. I know I almost had a heart attack when I pulled mine off my LML truck and from the bottom I can see all...
I run this centerlink you are talking about. I did not want the trade offs that go with a straight link. Truck steers just like stock and has handled many full boost launches and survived a sled pull. I too had bent the stock centerlink before rebuilding the whole front end. This thing is...
Called the local junk yard looking for a 4l80e. Pulled up and this is what they were gonna sell me for $1050. No thanks, it’s probably ok,,,,,but I didn’t want to chance it.

I know they are ticking time bombs but I’ve never broken one in any of my 3 f body’s. It seems an automatic trans is what saves them. A stock 6 spd with drag radials is guaranteed destruction. My previous Formula went 11.00 many a pass and the 7.5 never gave up. BMR suspension parts and ET...
I love the ws6 cars too! There is a lot of late model Hemi and 5.0 mustang muscle around here that will be more willing to stick their foot in the trap of a stock appearing Formula. The car weighs 2755 with a quarter tank of fuel. And hooks like a rail car.

After seeing The Bac and his vette I thought it would be fun to do a write up on my project.
Starting with bone stock 01 Formula
Decided to kick off with a little cam upgrade. Tick TorqueMax stage 2, Crane double Springs, TSP pushrods. Went ahead and put head gaskets, new lifters and trays, 2...
Not sure if it's max effort or not it's just PPEI regular #5 tune. Supposed to be 150 I think. It seems to run harder than my 15 LML that was max effort. It certainly seems to light the turbo a lot faster.
Update. After replacing all the soft lines on driver side, the low rail pressure issue is gone. While it was under the knife I went ahead and put a 3" down pipe, 5" magnaflow exhaust and DSP5 tunes and switch from PPEI. Wow is all I can say. Tune 5 sure feels like it could break something...
Ouch. Is it common for cp3's to check out at this mileage? I'm the second owner of this truck and knew the first owner. Always got a new fuel filter every 12k miles since new, I consider that reasonable maintenance.
Is this something I can do or need my diesel shop to do? I see tons of these p0087 threads and I'm trying to avoid redundant questions and this isn't an answer I've commonly seen. All help is greatly appreciated.
Like many before I am chasing the p0087 gremlin. Here are the details. 07.5 LMM with 212k. Emissions intact. FASS Dmax lift pump. Brand new GM filter head and AC Delco TP3018 filter. Balance rates are not more than -1 or +1 on any cylinder. Bottle test on injector returns are empty. Rail...
Everybody has different results but I find that these trucks have less downtime and nickel and dime problems than others especially as they get a lot of miles. Will post a couple more pics of the workhorses on the farm.

I forgot I demolded it and relocated the duramax badge. Also used a black 2018 Chevy z71 emblem on bed sides for a smaller cleaner look.
