ABS problems with tires over 34"

I have a Duramxtuner ECM. I gave them my exact tire size circumference (about 33" tires) and they calibrated my speedo such that it is spot-on according to my GPS. I do not have any braking problems. Perhaps Duramaxtuner accounted for the ABS as well but I have no way of knowing that. I just...

    Sound from rear when braking

Check the universals. Take the driveshaft down, take the bearing caps off (carefully), and check out the needle bearings. I had the same problem and merely trying to wiggle the shaft to check for looseness did not reveal the problem.

Anyone running ATF or hydraulic fluids in power steering?

Just did the same except did not replace the hydroboost. The result was the same, incredible pedal feel now, almost no travel before brakes begin to grab. Steering fluid flush highly recommended. Absolutely amazing the difference. Took me 20 minutes.

    Help: Pulsing brake pedal 2002

Replace your power steering fluid with a full flush. Just did mine. Pedal travel reduced substantially with almost immediate braking when depressing the brake pedal. The annoying pulsating akin to ABS invoking also gone. This was the best maintenance I have ever done in 40 years of maintaining...

    Help: Hydro boost problems

I just flushed my power steering fluid. I had soft pedal and pulsating. All gone. Brake travel is now 1.5 inches higher, almost immediate braking when depressing the pedal. Replace your fluid!

    275/65/R18 Cooper A/T3

Twenty pounds PER tire heavier? Of course there was a significant decrease in mileage. I'll bet you also experienced increased stopping distances or required more pedal effort for a given stop. An extra 80 pounds represents a lot more rolling energy to overcome.

    Good all around tire

Bridgestone Revo 2's. On my second set. First set stayed on for 85,000 miles and still had legal tread depth. Ten-ply with 16/32 tread depth.

    Super Steer tie rods

I just replaced my tie rod ends with an alignment, of course. The steering tightened up significantly. I doubt whether the improvement to your steering feel was due to a new tie rod. Rather, it was your worn ends that we're the culprit. No hard cuz you had to replace the tie rod but I would have...

    LMM: Rattling from rear wheels

Have you considered a bad universal joint? I recently experienced similar noises that disappeared when braking. Pulled the wheels to inspect rear brakes, nothing wrong. Jacked up and ran while rear wheels off ground, no noise. While having the transfer case replaced (local garage) for pump...

LML Transfer Case Output Shaft Seal leaking

If replacing the seal doesn't stop the leak, consider transfer case rub-through as the culprit. The NV 263XHD case is famous for developing a hole from the inside out. A leaking seal will wet the underside only somewhat. If you are experiencing lots of oil on the underside, it's the transfer...
