    Check for wire chaffing on plastic fender liner. I had an intermittent crank no start, started digging around and found my CPS wiring near the ECM had chaffed nearly all the way through from rubbing the fender liner.

    You can always remove the turbo and clean the oil coking from the compressor cover and backing plate. its pretty common after some hours to have oil in the boots and caked to the compressor cover and backing plate. It should improve turbo efficiency a good bit.

    DId you ever finish this up? Im currently in the home stretch of my ZF6 swap in my 01, trans and clutch pedal are all in, just have to finish the wiring and flash the computer which is the part im not to certain about.

    all stock trans, unknown miles. just shy of 1000hp since 2016. the trans that replaced it was cryo treated and is still in the truck also with unknown miles same power level.

    Im assuming the truck is running and making boost while youre observing this? if there is no boost to "blow off" it will not open. Ive had a BOV on my truck for about 6 years. I had the race port for about 4 and had to switch it out about every 2 because the diaphragm would tear after a while...

    Ahhh i see, i was unaware of the switch to china made parts. Good to know Makes sense, i may have to do a delta pressure check on my truck. If there was that much of a difference at 55psi i can only imagine it would be worse yet at 80+psi

    For what its worth ive been running a mishimoto intercooler at 1000hp and 80lbs of boost for close to 5 years now. A single case of good luck i suppose doesnt tell all but i have no complaints about mine. I cant speak on the radiator.

    I get more engine noise than anything with compounds but theyre both Borgs, no VGT. Even with a stack on the highway its pretty reasonable as far as noise goes. I can still talk at a normal tone.

    Not nearly this bad though. it happened 1 cylinder at a time over the course of a few hundred engine hours. And if i remember correctly it was primarily on the exhaust side.

    Alright so we had 2 issues, 1 being the controller wouldnt work with EOH brakes. The 2nd being there wasnt a fuse in the stud #1 location under the hood. I pulled the fuse from my abs and placed it there with the new controller installed and held the manual control full left, the pump kicked on...

    The truck is an 06, the controller is a tekonsha prodigy, it was in the truck when i bought it back in 2013, but looking it up that seems like it could be the issue. The newer version says specifically it will work with EOH brakes. This one says nothing about it. Sent from my SM-N975U using...
