    06 lbz loosing coolant

You could have a seal/o-ring/etc that has been damaged to some degree where it is ok at ambient temps but not ok at 170 degrees. Just a guess.

    35 gallons in 6 miles...

Agreed on a smaller scale fix if your lines are in good shape. My brake lines were in bad shape and didn't want to pull everything off to do the fuel lines in the future.

    35 gallons in 6 miles...

I got mine (in stainless) from Fine Lines Inc. $345 on ebay for 2wd 2006 3500 dually. You just need basic tools and a quick disconnect tool (the NAPA ones work, not all of them do). It is a messy job and isn't particularly quick, but with stainless you will never need to do it again.

    35 gallons in 6 miles...

There is a hard-to-flexible fuel line junction near the ABS module - You can either get quick-disconnect to AN hose adapters or put in replacement hardlines (which I did, they also include the flexi lines). It is not particular difficult or expensive to swap out the OEM lines for good braided...

    Question about lift pumps

I have an ADII-100. Works well, no complaints. I ditched their filters - the water separator filter is junk, the other one is nothing special. Here is my filter setup: water separator - Baldwin BF1275 main filter - Donaldson P551315 (both simply screw on to ADII unit) in place of OEM filter -...

Oil Filter - pre or post oil cooler?

I have looked a bit but cannot determine if the oil going to the oil filter has been cooled yet. I have an Amsoil filter setup and would like to take the reading off a port available on the filter mount instead of dealing with the OEM filter mount plugs and am hoping that the oil heading to the...

lbz rail pressure on edge cts2

What is fuel pressure (and is it steady) if you unplug the pump while idling?

Need help problems after cp3 install

I had an odd issue with the oil pressure gauge not working after a CP3 & injector & water pump swap - there was continuity in the wires etc. Turned out to be a bent pin in one of the big connectors. They are not exactly the best design (long, unsupported pin). Take a look inside the connector...

    LBZ: No crank, everything dies

Swapping the other battery worked, no surprise to me or anyone else I'm sure. One indicator (for the future) that the other battery was not up to par was that the volts gauge stayed pegged at ~14.4 immediately after start-up. Remembering back, with good batteries, the gauge moves around from...

    LBZ: No crank, everything dies

I have an '07 LBZ dually. Issue is that it will only start with a jumper pack. I replaced one battery 6 mos ago and replaced the other today. The battery (or possibly batteries) would not hold a charge - I would need to jump them if the track sat for 20mins or more, even after a 1 hour drive...

LBZ: Is one 800cca jumper pack enough?

Thanks. I've disconnected a battery in the past to (hopefully) lessen the load (one tired battery instead of two) when jumping and it has worked (may just be a coincidence).

LBZ: Is one 800cca jumper pack enough?

Is one 800ca jumper pack enough? It is 15deg and my truck won't start due to low batteries (been sitting for a month). I am looking at a Clore ES6000 jumper pack which has 800 cranking amps. Should be enough, if I disconnect the passenger battery? Or would i need another (like 300 cranking...

LBZ: New Pump & Injectors - same low rail pressure (P0087)

Thanks, and sounds like a good idea. Was there anything else that you did that might be helpful? I was thinking of adding a cooler a while ago but didn't have an EFI Live at the time (to see fuel temps) and I was thinking that if I could fix the FPRV issue then the fuel temps would be helped...

LBZ: New Pump & Injectors - same low rail pressure (P0087)

Thanks all. It was (and still is) my fear that the plug/rail seating surface is damaged. In fact, when I swapped out the shimmed FPRV, the FPRV was in less than ideal shape (the dark finish on the sealing surface was missing in a spot or two, so it seems the seal was not perfect). Here is an...
