2014 Camaro SS LML Build Thread

I'm not familiar with the gm8 turbos but a quick google search for their specs says they should work okay, obviously depending on your fueling setup. I'm not sure if it helps or not but I run HE341's in a parallel setup on my LLY street rod and don't have complaints with how they come alive...

Anybody carry a spare TCM with them?

Best way to make sure a part that has failed you previously, never ever fails again? Carry a spare. At least this is how it's always worked for me. :ROFLMAO:

    Extra part from valve body

Finding an extra part after assembly may be the worst feeling a man can have.

Know how to build a wiring harness?

I do remember the AllDatadiy page being difficult to navigate. I know the pinouts are on there. Keep looking and you'll find them. I wish I still had all my personalized navigation I wrote down because I had the same issue remembering where to find what I needed.

New Color Options. Carbon Black and Graphite Gray

Yes, most of the blankets are shown and available on the website. Though I'm still working on things here and there. If you need something you don't see, just hit me up. Odds are I can make it.

    Which T-case to use?

Hell. Yes. A crescent and some tack welds are the answer to a lot of life's hurdles.

    Half ton thread

I'll take that as a compliment. :D I think black was the safe bet.

New Color Options. Carbon Black and Graphite Gray

Small? I figured you had went big on literally everything this time around. Build really looks good dude. Send me over some specs on what you need or a measurement and I'll get you hooked up.

New Color Options. Carbon Black and Graphite Gray

Sounds good, give me a shout when you're ready! :thumb: I prefer the anchors shown in the picture. In my experience they're a stronger fastener and put less stress on the blanket over time than the grommet style does. With that being said, I can do whatever a customer wants fastener or style...

New Color Options. Carbon Black and Graphite Gray

Hey everyone, Have a couple new color options available. Moving forward these will be replacing the original coated black and silver blankets. Though the originals will be available by request if trying to match a previous setup. Blanket performance is every bit as good with these...

    Finally ordered mine

Pretty much what Brad said. I've had several customers say they've installed the blankets without removing the pipes or trans. Either by pulling the downpipe or it was a twin'd truck. They did not speak fondly of the experience but they were able to get it done in the end.

I stand corrected. Completely forgot about that one. Nice internet ninja skills.

    Finally ordered mine

I'm not sure that I've ever knowingly made a set of intake blankets. Not that I wouldn't. I just try to share my experiences so someone doesn't waste time/effort/money on something that might not work all that well.

Thanks guys! Always good to hear things are fitting and working like they should. Have a good weekend everyone!

    Finally ordered mine

Sorry! I flat out didn't see your posts but I'm glad you're liking the blanket! I wouldn't recommend blanketing the intake pipes. While it might be beneficial for a short amount of time, eventually they will get heat soaked and work against what you're trying to achieve in the first place...

    sawmilldmax 1969 C10 build

First of all, build looks awesome.:thumb: Secondly, if you're after finned valved covers, I had a guy waterjet some 5/8" thick valve covers for the Dmax in my street rod then I milled fins into them. Came out just like old school finned covers. Kind of makes it look like a flathead though.
