Advice -2008 3500HD CC/LB
it's an actual coil spring. one end is attached at the center of the leaf, the other is attached at the aft end of the leaf. In the middle it is threaded and it looks like you can adjust the tension. I'd post a pic, but I'm deployed at the moment.- mallardchandler
