Very cool you have kept this list going and have up graded it. Amazing how fast the trucks have gotten. My old White out is way down the list now. 111th or so. The guy I sold it to said it will still run in the 10's and has had the same engine since 2009. That has got to be a record. He...

    Mike L has passed away.......

It's been forever since I posted on this forum. Mike was a good friend and built a couple of transmissions for me. We were always going to get in a game of golf together but never did. RIP buddy, you will be missed.

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

He was real close to Buck Sprill, who lived in North Carolina, he tuned Bucks Dmax and they would go to the Daytona 500 every year. He wouldn't have anything to do with EFI live so was pretty much stuck with the LB-7. I remember you had to wait months for one of his ECM's and it cost a...

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

After watching this and pretty much out of the diesel scene anymore except for my 2007 classic tow rig I use to tow my race trailer, I kind of wondering why they put out the video in the first place it all seems a bit premature give what they are trying to accomplish. Everyone who has...

Gale Banks reacts to Hoonigan 1000hp build

God I love this statement. Sometime in a different thread I'll tell you guys what the Banks team tried to get me to do when I was running the top 50 list and their sidewinder truck and rail where on the top. They are a real piece of work. I always smile when I see some old geezer with his...

Sounds like you have some personal experience there. The one next door, Sherrie's looks like a better place anyway. :thumb:

    Glimpse of IdahoRob on Roadkill?

Ended up moving to Pahrump, NV sold the gasser to a guy in Idaho, he'll be racing it at Firebird in Boise. Bought a 1967 Chevy Nova, will be somewhat quicker than the Falcon but still slow enough I won't have to get a license or wear the total racing suit, (I hope). Will race it in Madras Or...

    Happy Birthday Subman

Takes a bit to get everything working in the morning, a hot shower helps.:D I think one of the keys to being old and not acting it is to not have grand kids, all my friends with grand kids act old. Not that you have any say in the matter, but not having kids helps. Maybe raising...

    Burnt up Kennedy pump

I started with a set of TTS lift pumps when the truck was new in 2007, and they lasted 2 years before getting corroded and dying. Replaced with a set of Kennedy pumps in 2009 and they have been going strong ever since. I do have an after market 2 micron fuel filter in line after the lift pumps...

LMM: best place for drive pressure gauge

You really need to run a filter with it, if not the line will eventually soot up and gauge won't work.

Needs serious work on the reaction time. That is if he is actually interested in drag racing.

    Glimpse of IdahoRob on Roadkill?

I'll tell you what guys racing these old gassers is a hoot, and you don't hold your breath every time you go down the track hoping you don't break it. I've got about 450 passes on my Falcon gasser without any major problems. But it still ain't cheap, but a hell of a lot cheaper than racing...
