    Valve lash

Here's the offending pushrod I pulled out. #7 exhaust is all groved up and #7 intake is fine. Replaced the pass side with new manton 7/16 pushrods. Had it running tonight and it sounded great, about to tear the driverside apart and replace those. There were a couple other that were rough but #7...

    Valve lash

This is how I always set lash on solid rollers. I set the in intake when the exhaust is open and vis versa. Just a habit I got into when racing. I checked them twice before I put the valve covers on and for the first 1000 miles the motor was quiet.

    Valve lash

The pushrods arnt bent I checked and rolled all the pass side on a table. The tip that rides on lifter looks fine, some of the cups on the top that ride on the rocker are scarred up. Enough that if I drag seal pick in the cup I can feel the ridges and they are pretty deep. The tips of the...

    Valve lash

Hopefully that's the case, If everything looks good a may throw a set of manton 7/16 pushrods in it for piece of mind

    Valve lash

I'm gonna borrow a bite scope and check the cam. That's the thing everything was tight. I checked torque on everything before pulling it apart. I cut open the oil filter it was clean. Pushrods are straight. The only thing I could think of is something got caught under a rocker bridge or...

    Valve lash

It has wagler pushrods. It has no metal in the oil and no wires sounds but the tap from the lash being wrong. I dont see how it would be the cam. Maybe a lifter

    Valve lash

Built my motor last year. Have put roughly 2k miles on it. A couple months ago I developed a slight valve tick, not to noticable cold but definitely noticable hot. Lately it has gotten louder even cold. Traced it down the the passenger side and pulled the valve cover. #7 exhaust was at .040. a...

    S300 Kit LMM

Smeding doesn't have the best reputation so be prepared. It is a direct drop in I test fitted one I had one of these that needed to be rebuilt, I called Work and they said they would rebuild it but I went with a HTT S366 in my twin kit as it's internally gated.

    Lly/lb7 rebuild

If your gonna build it use the crank and pistons, throw a set of the Callie's rods in. They are really hard to bet at 1100

    LML GPCM delete?

I've done it on a lmm. Loop the canbus wires back together. It will still throw a soft code and the glow plug light will stay on

Looking for Allison build/install options near Virginia.

Who did you settle on? George does build a stock plus build, I can tell you it is stout. I have it in my LBZ and I beat the piss out of it. When he first did the trans it was only getting a 100hp tow tune. Then it need head gaskets and got 60 overs, a 66mm VGT and a max effort tune with the same...

    Built motor oil

Maybe I'll look into swapping oil coolers. It would be a lot easier on the stand 😂. I'm taking temps precooler from the top of the oil filter housing

    Built motor oil

It is, I shoulda went with a lp5 cooler or maybe it would be different if I used a Garrett based charger that is water cooled. I was thinking if maybe a different oil would help it some. I also don't tow at all with this truck it's strictly a fun truck but I do take it on long trips
