    Thanks for your reply. the truck and trailer are pretty close in height. i towed empty so im concerned with water and everything else going on a trip that the number could still drop. just trying to maximize what i can. with 26g fuel tank plus i carry 10 more gallons it seem i would like to go...

    yes a bumper pull camper. does 8mpg sound reasonable. seems pretty low for me or i would at least like to get a little better. if they are any tricks, parts, or ideas to get a little better milage i would love to hear. thanks for your time.
