I was tempted to swap but once I heard they are going thru them also I stayed the course. Making real progress now, maybe my truck will become the poster child for the 6l80. Lol
Don’t believe everything you hear. They still have to go thru the 4l80 quite often at 1000 hp. I’m on my 4th 6l80 build, the new builder has some super secret stuff him and circle d figured out. Hopefully the new trans can hold the 408.
When marine diesels start to blow the dipstick out that’s when captains know it’s time for a rebuild. I’ve seen them duct taped to the tube to keep them in so they could keep running charters. Usually indicates ring wear or a crack somewhere.
They just want to make ICE vehicles so expensive it would be cheaper to switch to electrics. The downsides seem less of a problem when saving money gets involved for corporations. lol.
