    LMM: Electrical issues again

Different problem - Simmar issues For some time I have been receiving strange status displays. Started with “Range Shift Inhibit” and resulted in complete losses of movement. Let it cool off for 12 hrs and took it if orvservice. Worked ok for about a year, happened again in St Louis (raining...

    LB7: Electrical issues

2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab Duramax w/Allison transmission. Most of you are on track - Thanks. TheBac was the closest. Had AMP steps installed 11 Years ago and the installer did not adequately waterproof the connector. Dried off, cleaned it up, weatherproofed it, and back on the road...

Allison 5sp: range shift inhibited just free revs

This is a bit late to reply, but I encountered the same problem. On at least two occasions I was pulling a trailer in the rain. Brought it to an Allison shop in St Lewis. The problem was diagnosed to a connector at the lower front of the transmission. The "seal" was compromised when I had...

    Help me diagnose

If it runs on either, you have a fuel problem. Pressure or air. Don't use the either to much, or you will be creating more issues. Recently my 2006 had the same symptoms - cranks, starts on either, sometimes runs for 2-5 seconds, no codes. Would run for 2 minutes when I primed the pump...

    Lift Pump Question

I had similar issues. It was recommended to replace the filter head, but no one could prove it was faulty. I install the FASS 150, no issues, and my mileage came up (only a small amount - less than 1mpg). Starts every time within less than a second Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Crank no start

Had the same issue on my 06. Replaced the blender valve with a CNC, but that did not resolve the issue. Found there is no pump at the tank, only at the head of the injectors. Relays on vacuumed to pull the fuel to the cp3. Local repair suggested replacing the cp3, however could not confirm that...

    Maybe this will help someone

You are the man Had the exact same symptoms, finally gave up and towed it to a shop. After reading your post, I went out and bought the part ($16 vrs. $3) and asked the mechanic to give it a try. Fixed the problem - who would have thought. Thanks for the clue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    LBZ: Turbo issues

2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.6 TD. Only have 8.1 PSI max @2500 RPM. 1-2 PSI @ idle. Oil residue in tube, black smoke when I accelerate. Thinking I may have a seal leak, or need to replace. Have not broke onto it to ascertain the status of the vanes. Any suggestions would be appreciated, even hints...
